Why Choose Screeding.com

FAQ'S

Which screed type is best for underfloor heating?

Liquid screed is often the best choice thanks to its excellent thermal conductivity and reduced depth requirements, but sand & cement screeds can also be used. We’ll recommend the right option after reviewing your project details.

How thick should screed be over underfloor heating pipes?

Typically 50–75mm, depending on the system and screed type. Exact thickness will be confirmed at the design stage.

Will I need laitance removal with UFH screeds?

Potentially. Many liquid screed UFH installations require laitance removal for proper floor adhesion. This will be advised once we review your project.

Do you cover residential and commercial UFH screeds?

Yes, we handle everything from small domestic projects to large commercial systems.

How soon can heating be turned on after screeding?

Generally after 7 days (for initial commissioning), with gradual increases in temperature. We’ll provide tailored guidance for your project.
